The ONLY nearside portable pedestrian unit on
the market has been designed with functionality
and accessibility in mind.
The SiigSense™ portable pedestrian signal harnesses the same intelligent touchscreen controller, in a compact and lightweight unit. As the UK’s first portable nearside pedestrian signal, Siignals goal was to bring a familiar & accessible product to market.
We have also introduced some industry firsts such as our hi-tech SiigSense™ touch screen controller, Prioritised Demand Strategy (PDS), Adaptive Ambient Diming (AAD) and a 24V system.
Nearside unit – compact and accessible
At only 141cm tall our SiigSense™ portable pedestrian unit is the first on the UK market. Helping not only with weight & height restrictions during transport, but by brining a more familiar and accessible crossing to enable all road users to cross the site with ease.
Our SiigSense™ controller is universal, allowing you to configure your portable site in the way you need to. With 16 vehicle heads and 16 pedestrian heads, you can configure your site in any combination up to 8 phases.
Base Units – sealed and open variant
Siignals have produced arguably the most robust, vandal- and theft-proof battery box on the market. Two variants are available and interchangeable.
The SiigSense units available with an open base unit option which allows the user to change batteries on site when necessary, making it the perfect solution for long-term jobs.
If there is no requirement to exchange batteries, the SiigSense base unit can be fully sealed. Security shear bolts ensure the maximum difficulty for those with criminal intent.

*AGM lead-acid batteries must be charged and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended charging profile. Incorrect charging practices — including undercharging, overcharging, use of unsuitable chargers, or prolonged storage without recharge — can lead to sulphation, stratification, excessive gassing, or thermal stress. These conditions may significantly reduce available capacity, shorten runtime of connected equipment, and permanently impair overall battery life. Please see our Battery Life and Performance guide for more information.
