Siignals have recently been made aware that modified versions of our units are being offered to the market.

Following review, we have identified significant concerns regarding the safety and quality of these modifications.

They do not align with the standards that Siignals is committed to delivering, and as such, we are unable to verify their performance, compliance, or reliability.

Siignals SiigSense open base units are fully type-approved to TOPAS 2540A specification. Any third-party modifications may fall outside of this approval and are therefore not covered within our risk register, nor are they supported or endorsed by Siignals.

To help you verify whether you have been supplied with a genuine Siignals-approved product or a third-party modified unit, please note the following key design features:

Our locks are built into the side frames and lid, providing enhanced security and durability. Units with externally protruding locks may indicate third-party modification.

Our cable assemblies are neatly secured along the external walls of the base unit. This ensures they are kept clear during battery changes and reduces the risk of accidental damage.

The BMS is mounted on the back wall of the unit, positioned away from the battery compartment. This minimises the risk of damage to the system and critical cable looms.

Our open base units feature a custom battery support bracket and bung system, designed to securely hold batteries in place during transportation.
